Ian,
The Plus is only there when the children columns are full and there is
no line for the "Click to Add a Child".
So I guess you'd see it more if you chose to View just one child column
or used the Scrolling Grid.
I rarely see it as I use Best Fit columns.

Of course, within the data rows of the pane it does show 'Click to Add
a Child' which is just as quick - I guess I'm just a creature of habit
so would like to configure the user interface consistently across my
Family Files in Legacy FT.
