The Detail Window disappeared. The Assigned Sources Window will not Close

This is the same problem I wrote about recently, although in my case it
was having a file open dialog box open when I switched to another
program to get information and when switched back I couldn't get behind
the main Legacy window to the dialog box.
By various trials and errors - several people suggested things which
didn't work - I have found that the following works: when I've looked
at the other screen I need to MINIMISE that screen, NOT click on the
Legacy icon on the task bar to return to Legacy. If I click on the
icon, I get the Display Picture window with the dialog box hidden behind
it. I then have to switch back to the other program (selecting it from
the task bar) and then minimise it and this time the dialog box is on top.
