John,
mapping isn't working at the moment. If you are seeing any maps they are coming from the Internet Explorer cache.

I would wait until mapping was fixed and then check to see whether those auto mapped are accurate. I click the checkbox in the verified column when they are or I'd manually mapped by right clicking in the right place on the map.

It only auto-mapped all locations if you asked it to.

Otherwise, when it was working it would map the location you went to in the list if you had the map on. If you didn't have the map on, it didn't try to map.

I only used the "do not map" to stop the map flying off when Bing had got the location completely wrong as in the wrong country. You don't have to remove the co-ordinates first.

I was mostly surprised at how accurate Bing was. I include addresses in my location list and generally the right street was pinned - that was for UK and Australia.

When testing mapping years ago we had a tool in the beta version to remove all co-ordinates - not just one's set by Bing (or Virtual Earth as it was then) and it's still there. I'm sure I'll need it to test the fix to mapping when it comes. Which doesn't help you unless you send your file to Support or a beta tester who knows how to find it. But if you have co-ordinates you think are accurate, it won't help as it removes the lot. You could do it in Access if you knew Access well enough.

I have noticed that may of my locations have been auto geo-coded by
Bing. Is there a way to stop this from occurring? Is there a quick way
to delete all the geo-codes at once or do I have go through each one
marked with a V, one at a time, to delete its geo code, then tick “do
not geo code” (this option only appears _after_ I delete the geo code,
and only applies to the individual location).
