Hello Douglas.  I suggest:
From Legacy's Search menu -- Find -- Detailed Search tab -- Primary Condition = Individual, and where to look = Added Date, and How to look = After, and What to look for = (the day before you started using the wrong file).      Second Condition:  = or, and Individual, and where to look = Modified Date, and How to look = After, and what to look for = (same date).  Then select Clear List before this search, and select "Create List."  Now you have a list, and if you're smart, you will tag everyone in the list with an unused tag number.      After this, you could use, from the View menu, Split Screen, and when it asks if you want to view a different file in the new screen, say yes, and point to the other file.  You can decide how to proceed from here, but note that a very helpful feature of Legacy, especially in this case, is the little boxes at the very bottom right corner of the Legacy Family tab view, which you would use to go to the next Tag number that you used to tag all those who were in your search results list.  Another feature that could be useful is the ability to drag a record from one window to the next, which, when you do that, the option appears to "Copy Between Family Files."      Nevertheless, it might be easier in some cases, (whether you tagged the folks in your search results list or not), to just export a selection of records from the wrong file, that includes those who were in your search results list, and merge them into your good file.

All the best to you,

Joseph Leavitt

Yes I did start using the wrong file so now i must update the correct one.
How can I find any records to compare both since that date then add them to the
correct file.
