Hi Joseph,
The dashes made it much easier to read. Thanks.

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Comments re tagging thought please

The copy of my message that came back to me had special characters in the
place of spaces at the beginning of the sentences, and at the end of
sentences if there is more than one space (two spaces there would make it
easier to read the paragraph). I didn't know that would happen, and am not
sure why, or if you see it the same way I do. I'm going to try it again as a
test using dashes in the place of the spaces at the beginning of sentences.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I only use Tag 1 for things like a temporary search results list. For
something more permanent, like, for example, the fact that I always want to
know if I am blood related, I use Tag 3 on them so I can see it at a glance.
If I am adding people to the file, and want to make sure they all have Tag
3, I'll set relationships, then search on "Related" or "spouses and
In-Laws," and when I get the search results, I'll put Tag 3 on everyone in
the list.

I hope everyone is familiar with the great (_and unique_) benefits that the
Tagging feature provides to us Legacy users.
-----One that I would put near the top of the list would be to use tags in
conjunction with the "Potential Problems" feature.
-----Let's say I want to have a list of anyone in the file with a warning
(on the Warnings tab). I would select the warnings to check on, and clear
all check marks that appear in the other tabs.
-----Then I would go to the Records tab, and put a check mark in the "Tag
all problem records on tag #," and set an unused Tag.
-----I prefer next to click the Preview button, but I don't have to print it
because I just wanted to get the affected records tagged.
-----Now, I can use the little box at the far bottom right of the screen
that looks like I:1, which, in this case means Individual Tag 1.
-----When I click on the arrow next to it, the program will show me the next
record in the file that has that tag number. After making a decision there
regarding the issue, I use the arrow button again to go to the next one, and
so on until there are no more records with Tag 1.
