I have an instance where a man's second wife was the aunt of his first,
the two women being my 3rd Great Grandaunt and my 4th Great Grandaunt.
Regardless of which wife is selected as the Preferred one, the husband
always shows on Family View as "Husband of 3rd Great Grandaunt +".
To complicate the issue further, the only child of the first marriage
married her cousin. The relationships to me of both this pairs are 1st
Cousin 5x removed, Husband/Wife of 1st Cousin 5x removed and Not related
which are all correct and "1st Cousin 5x removed +" shows on Family View.
The relationships to me of their daughter are 2nd Cousin 4x removed and
Not related and it is "2nd Cousin 4x removed" which shows on Family
View. I have now added this daughter's husband and their 3 children,
who are my 3rd Cousins 3x removed, but even though I have Set
Relationships (to me) again, nothing shows on Family View and when I
Calculate Relationships to me they are showing as Not related.
Obviously, Legacy sees "3rd great grandaunt's husband's great
granddaughter" as taking precedence over "3rd Cousin 3x removed", but
blood relationships should always take precedence, surely?
Do I have to accept that these close relationships are just too much for
Legacy to cope with?
