Gender colours have never applied to the centre and parent names. Only
the children's names are coloured by gender in Family view. To check
this I went back to a copy of Legacy 7 I have on my computer and the
centre and parent names are in black.

Thanks Brian,
I have the Children already set to Red and Blue but this doesn't reflect
on the rest of the Family View screen.
Maybe there is still a bug floating around after the last one ?

Those colours are part of the Set colour options.
Go to Options > Change Colours
With the pink box open click on the name of any child to open the
gender colour settings.

Hi all,
Having a senior moment here and wondering if anyone can point me in
the right direction.
Before the "bug" in a recent update which cleared the gender
colours I used to have the names on Family View in different colours.
Now that the gender colours are back I can't work out how to get
the name colours back on my Family View screen.
Any pointers gratefully appreciated,
It's called Ancestor Colour Coding and you access it from Options 8.3.
Hi Jenny,
Thanks for the reply. I have that toggled and this shows on the
relevant screens (small box on Family View and coloured boxes on
Pedigree).
However, I had the actual NAMES of the people in different colours on
the Family View screen, blue for Male and Red'ish for Females) and
this was also shown for the Parents as well.
