Jenny,
Check your setting at Options 3.10 term for christening. This is a
family file setting so if you are using the Sample file it may be set
for Christening even though your private family file uses baptism.
Thank you, Brian. I think I have resolved the problem.
I had started a new family file in order to sort out some complex
relationships and had sometimes yesterday worked in Split Screen with
the new file and my regular Family File. At the time when I wrote to
LUG only my regular file was open.
To-day I am working with the new file again, for which I had set very
few options. I found it was set to Christening at 3.10 and obviously
this setting "transferred" to my original file when I opened that in
Split Screen. I have changed 3.10 in the new file and the old one is
showing the same.
I THINK that when I had both files open at the same time the settings
for the first to be opened were being transferred to the second. But
when I had closed down and then opened only my old file, it kept to its
original settings, hence why I was getting Baptism correctly last night.
Sounds unlikely, but you can expect the unexpected with computers, I find!
