You will see Hints within Legacy without having a subscription but to access the details you will need to have paid. This is just like the MyHeritage and FindMyPast hints.

Thank you Brian
I neglected to say that my interest was those moving from Ireland and UK to
USA. I had a look at the site before posting, and saw that everything I might
want to see seemed to require a paid subscription. Does the Legacy Hints
connection require that paid membership? (from your answer, I assume so)

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Hints - GenealogyBank

GenealogyBank is primarily or exclusively United States records and it requires
a subscription. Unless you have a lot of Americans in your file the site is not
likely to be useful to your research.

This excerpt is from the About page for the site:
https://www.genealogybank.com/information/about-us

"GenealogyBank's 9,000+ historical newspapers include letters, speeches, opinion
pieces, advertisements, hometown news, photographs, illustrations and more. These unique
primary documents go beyond names and dates, providing first-hand accounts that simply
aren't available from census or vital records alone. With GenealogyBank, you'll get a
glimpse into the triumphs, troubles and everyday experiences of your American
ancestors."

I don't have many ancestors who moved from Ireland or UK, but it might be helpful to
activate the GenealogyBank "Hints" in Legacy Family Tree.

Is there a login required? Although I have set the fetch period back from 120
days to 30, I don't have any hints for persons with quite complete data.
