I have the following written as an override in an event: Mrs. [WifeMarriedSurname] was a [desc] [inPlace].
Now let's say Mary Smith married Don Juan. It should read "Mrs. Juan was..." but Legacy's output is "Mrs. Smith was...". I have Smith in the individual's surname, then her married name as an alternate. Now if I swap her married name with her maiden name, it reads Mrs. Juan but then I get the error that her married name is the same as her husband's. Well, yeah. Did I maybe find a glitch? Alternatively, I thought I could simply do it this way: Mrs. [HusbSurname] was a [desc] [inPlace]. Nope! It still shows Smith. Why? I'm so confused. Cindy Lloyd
