OK. That worked. But... As Legacy is based on the MS Jet DB, the "Connect to" option has to be Access. This is not an option when running LibreOffice or Open Office on the Mac side. Once I downloaded the programs on the Windows side, the option appeared and I could *finally* open the database.
The question now is...can I manipulate it. As I am not working with the live .fdb file, I'd say the answer is no. When I did this a few years ago with MS Access, I could control the database directly (IIRC, Access would simply open the .fdb file). Do you have any experience with this? In the meantime, this will work for exporting and reporting, so thanks for your help.
