Go to View > Master Lists > Hashtag
Highlight the Hashtag you want to remove
Click the Delete button.

What you said was absolutely right. The tag did get deleted from the
individual. Now take the next step and go to the "Search Hashtags" on
the toolbar. The list of tags is still there along with the count.
This is where I want to delete the named tag from the list of available.
