In all reports you can suppress the details for living people and change their name to Living using the Privacy Options - the top section. You can't do it so easily if you only want to suppress details and names for people born after 1970. You have to do that individually by using their Privacy setting and marking them Private. Then they'll show in Reports as Private unless you override the Privacy Option in the bottom section. I don't think it would show the sex for anyone marked Private.
This applies to all Reports.
Find the Privacy Options button under the Report Options button and then click Help and read all about it.

Finally got around to trying these suggestions submitted. Thanks to those who replied.

What I want is to preclude, for privacy concerns, _*ANY*_ reference to people, especially my grandchildren, great grandchildren in my immediate family born after 1970. In general these suggestions take care of my concerns. On the Family and Descendant reports the individuals don't show. As is on the FAMILY report, they all show.

Anyone born *_after _1970 *would state the SEX and "living". Any born *_before _1970* would have regular information of dates, spouses, etc.

HOWEVER, I've found the individuals mentioned in some of the lesser used reports., i.e. Descendants, Descendants Narrative.

Is there a way to address this situation where they are shown as "living" on ANY report?

I hope this more accurately reflects my goal.

In a report, if you mark someone in the line you are reporting Invisible, all their descendants will also be left out of the report.

Access the people you want excluded and mark them as either private or invisible. Private may allow you to suppress their information but include only the name (experiment). Invisible should suppress all information (as if the person does not exist).

I am not aware of any ability to mark all members of a group at one time so you will be doing each person individually.

I know there's a way to do it, just can't find out how!

I don't want to have any information included on individual(s) born after a given date. I did a search and found the number that fit that category.

How do I indicate the individual exists but preclude personal information (i.e. descendants etc) being shown on any reports and in a GEDCOM file?

Thanks
