From time to time a wife will show up as for example “Wife of 9th grandfather” instead of “9th grandmother”. The grandfather has only the one wife and both show as parents of their child (8th grandmother). On the daughter’s husband’s side, his parents are 9th great grandfather and 9th great grandmother. To quote, why is this so? And what am I doing wrong?
