Thanks Cathy & Kathy for responding. I am seeing this in my alternate names; 1) Search tab in the Family View, 2) Search Replace tab. In that box is 1) Find Where, 2) Find What, and 3) Replacement Text. Example of what I did that removed the space: 1) Alt. given names 2) Joao(with no space) 3) João(with no space) I assume not having a space after 2) is what caused the problem. I now have alternate names such as Joãoda Silva. It should be João da Silva. Thanks again, Gloria
