I don't know about anyone else, but I will never be convinced one can trace
their ancestry back to Adam.I think it is a stretch of the imagination even
back to Noah! As far as information being given in the Bible, better read
again. While it does give information for King David, as Jesus came from
this line, it does not give documentation for ANYONE, but only gives the
branch of the family for the tribes, neither does it give documentation or
ancestral information for every person descended nor does it give
information on extended family members. Taking information from the Bible
to prove ancestry is at best an unknown, but to rely on it as proof is
another matter. I believe common sense is often a victim when doing
genealogy in the feverish attempt to prove one's ancestry and claim
information so ancient. Even if one could remotely claim kinship to the
tribes of Isreal in one's ancestry ( and I'm referring to Non-Jewish
relationships), what would you use for documentation as it is a general rule
one must have five sources to prove beyond a doubt one's information. This
is what is taught in genealogical classes I have attended, I even received
credit for the class.

I guess this is a subject without end, but I'm still skeptic about B.C.
information and adding it to my data base. I hope I haven't stepped on
anyone toes nor do I wish to start another flood of mail on this subject,
but.......the trace back to the first ameba sounds easier and more
scientific at best.
