Michele:
I don't know what to say about a Submission Report with a .xxx extension.
Have you tried renaming the file with a .sub extension?
Here is how it is supposed to work:
1. Put your diskette with the submission report in the a: drive.
2. Click the Temple button on the Toolbar.
3. Select Read Temple File from the pull-down menu.
4. In the Read Temple File screen, change the drive to a: and click on the
file name. (Has a .sub or .bac extension.)
(You can also read in a TempleReady Report File, which is more complete,
provided you follow the steps to create a file with a .prn extension.)
As far as pictures go, I have seen this problem in other applications when
one or both of the following conditions exist:
* Not enough memory.
* Large picure file size.
Sometimes if the first picture in the list is very large, the preview will
"hang" or take a very long time to change to other filenames you click on.
Thank you,
Jim Terry

Subject: [LegacyUG] Temple Name Submissions/Photo Linking
I am having trouble understanding the procedure of submitting names to the
temple. I made some batch files which were generated as *.ged. I took
these to the FHC to run through temple ready. When I brought my disk back
home to have Legacy mark the people who had been cleared, I couldn't get it
to read my files. The extension on the files generated was *.xxx. I've
never seen this type of file before. I don't understand what I'm supposed
to do. Can someone help me?
I'm also having a problem with linking my photos to my Legacy data. Some of
the time, when I go to add a picture, I am not able to preview my pictures
even though the box is checked. Part of the time the first picture I select
is the preview no matter what picture I select. This is very strange.
Thanks,
Michele
