Jim,
At the present Version 2.000
will only print about 900 pages give or take a few..Whenever Version 3.0
comes out Ken has assured me that this will be taken care of...
(my database is over 231,000+ and have numerous reports in limbo because of
this defect...(or handicap)

Good luck in your genealogy efforts
Henry

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] "Protection Fault"

I am new to this group so please excuse any seemingly stupid
questions. I wrote a message to the Legacy Support people but have
not gotten any kind of response. So I thought I would try here.

I have just started using Legacy 2.0, Sep 99 edition. I have
37,000 people in my data base. When trying to make a book that should
contain just over 14,000 of these folks I get an error and the machine
does not lock up but when it stops and I have to close the program
out, there is not enough memory to run anything so I have to reboot
the machine.

I have tried this on 3 different Pentium II class machines, with
64Meg of memory and from 4 to 10 gig hard drives. The book should be
about 1400 pages and someplace around 900-1100 the fault happens and
the following is put on the screen in a box.

Legacy

Legacy caused a general protection fault in module VB40016.DLL at
0004:00000127.

Close

Anyone experience this problem before. I would really like to
continue to use Legacy, but I need it to work for me.

   Jim Oxford
