Since I am new to the group, I do not know if this is a "legal" question or
not. If not, forgive me (but still send a response?).
I need to trash my present scanner since it kills my computer every time I
use it. What I am now looking for is a moderate priced scanner that will, of
course, scan pictures to perfection. However, it is clear that if I intend
to do my genealogy work well, I really need a scanner that will give me
those sharp, crisp scans of obits, wedding announcements, etc. needed to
flesh out my family files.
I would assume all of you have or have looked for the same thing. If you

your thoughts. Please respond to me and not the group since I don't want to
turn this into a product war, just some advice on how to search for the
scanner of my dreams.
