I created a text file copy of one of my Family Group Sheets, saved it, and attached it to e-mail sent to three of my cousins to "fill in the blanks." Only one of them replied, but she just typed information directly onto the text file I sent her. The one I have saved opens with WordPad; I haven't tried opening it with anything else. The FGS I sent her wasn't blank, though. It had basic information on it like her parents' & siblings' names and the few dates/places I knew. I haven't tried to send a blank one, though. It took my cousin a few days to reply, but she sent me LOTS more information than I could have possibly hoped for -- three pages of printed information! Hope this will work for your purposes.
