Jim posted a suggested list of options for a 'normal' merge. One was
AFN #. This raises a question. What does 'compatible' mean in
selecting merge options? For example, If two records otherwise meet
the criteria for merge consideration, but they have different AFNs, I
assume they would NOT be presented on the merge screen for
consideration if the AFN option is selected. But what would happen if
one had an AFN and the other did not?
In the same vein, what would happen if we selected 'gender' and one of
two possible records had an 'unknown' gender? Would they be presented
for consideration?
