Ron and others,
Have you tried using Legacy's source clipboard? You can enter the
census data in once, copy it to the clipboard and with just one click append it
to everyone you want to. Seems like this is about the same effort as
linking it to the same people would be.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Anyone found away to
link events to other people
What I would like to be able to do is create an event, say
1881 Census, enter all the people and information listed in that event and
then link that event back to everyone listed in that census.
This would prevent having to make that entry for everyone
and save disk space, I would think. I realize I could just copy and
paste, but then if I want to make changes, I have to go back to everyone to
make the changes, instead of just being able to change the main one. I
could probably do it through source but then it would not appear unless I
added source to reports, I would prefer it to appear under events so it would
appear with that information. Maybe there is a way to do this that I am
missing, I know the last time I suggested something, it was already there and
someone told me how to use it and that has saved me a lot of time.
I found the same thing for photos, I did the copy and paste
with the information intact and added the photo to all the people in the
photo. Later I found the name of another person in the photo and had to
go back and find all the people I had attached that photo to and make the
change in them.
I think the suggestion of a form with auto fill fields is an
excellent one and this might also solve this problem for me.
