That's an interesting concept Frank!
The question is - would we use the location as it was at the time of the event and an
AKA for it *today*? It would be nice to have a tad of history showing the date and
reason (if known) why a name changed for the location.
I just learned something interesting last week - I had an ancestor from "Greene Co,
TN" in 1782. At that time the state didn't exist (I understand that area of what is
now Eastern TN was part of NC) and for a few short years after that, the area was the
state of Franklin! It would be interesting to have that history in my database.
