Susan,
Trust me, it works. Yes, it is just the nature of the
program to look at the end first, then request the 1st
disk. By doing a backup, you get an exact duplication
of your database. With GedCom, it is a possibility you
could lose some information, also so much quicker and
simpler. I do it all the time.
