Please explain what it is about the way Events and Sources now print that you hate. Without a clear explanation of the current problem, and how it could be improved, no improvements can be made. Embedded sources in Notes would seem to result in greater use of Notes and less use of Events. On the other hand, what are the advantages, if any, of using Events for a series of "Notes" instead of putting all "Events" in General Notes and adding embedded source citations there?
