One advantage that I feel PAF has is that, in the absence of a birth date, as
often happens with ancestors, PAF will substitute the Christening date,
notated with an asterisk. Absence of a death date is treated similarly.

The advantage shows when, for instance, a name list is consulted. The records
appear in a sensible sequence. In Legacy, all entries with no dates seem to
appear first, followed by those with no birth date, followed by those with a
birth date.

How do others cope with this? Do you enter a guestimated date, or struggle to
find the right person when the same names keep appearing?

Does anyone else think a program change would help?
