I realise that the data goes from his home line, to the telephone
exchange, then to his ISP, over to my ISP, back to the telephone exchange,
and finally to my home line.
I was just saying that we were able to have instant personal contact to
inform each other of the situation.
By "dirty" phone line, I was referring to an unsafe network. Does anyone
really know where their calls are going? Or whether they are being
intercepted or tapped?
I don't believe anyone can say (with hand on heart) that theirs is,
because you never know.
