...correct a couple of misconceptions about viruses. 1. The method of adding a bogus address to the address book to prevent forwarding a virus does NOT work. I have one there anyhow.
2. Opening text only to prevent (a) acquiring a virus (b) forwarding a virus to those in one's address book, is a delusion, a myth, a fallacy and sky diving without a parachute. The bad trans virus was embedded HTML in text messages. Hackers will always be one step ahead of you, me and Symantec. One can "run for luck" and one can take all the available precautions - ya pays yer dime and takes yer cherce. After all is said and done hackers will be one step ahead...... Hopefully my post will end the requirement for each of us to post multiple times daily about this common problem.
