Looking over the Legacy website help section for photos I found something I
had skipped over before and would like a little input...

Using the 'add sound' function within the picture gallery and choosing the
option of linking to *all files* I am able to link to a bio page I have
prepared for my website (.htm format), which displays perfectly (all links
present on the page are active too!). With this 'new found knowledge' comes
many questions!

My goal would be to send a copy of my Gedcom and attached files & folders on
a CD for others to view who may/may not have internet capability).

Would it be best to follow these steps?

1. Create a folder on my 'D' drive specifically for Legacy photo files (i.e.
D:/LegacyPhotoFiles)[Location to save all photo files referenced in my
Legacy file, census, certificates, family photos etc.]

2. Open my .htm bio page file for editing and 'save' to D:/LegacyPhotoFiles
(which will in turn save all graphic files in their respective folder along
with the .htm file)

3. Navigate to D:/LegacyPhotoFiles to locate/reference the file(s) into
Legacy picture gallery.

4. Copy D:/LegacyPhotoFiles to a CD.

5. Export my Gedcom to my 'D' drive and then copy to CD.

My thoughts as to why I would save/connect to the files in my 'D' drive are:
Most people have their CD set as their 'D' drive. I thought once they
imported my Gedcom into their genealogy program the .htm bio files would be
easily located on the CD in their 'D' drive (D:/LegacyPhotoFiles) and MAYBE
run without a hitch....

Did I miss about a thousand steps???

Will my theory work in reality???

If this is a valid theory, is there a way to use this same basic principal
to easily link the Legacy created web pages (family group sheets, pedigree
charts etc) to the bio page(s) present on my website?

As an example of what I am trying to add, here is a link to one of my bio
pages currently posted on my website
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~familyhistorypages/Anderson16.htm

Maybe I am on to something here, or maybe I am creating a lot of work for no
real 'good' reason... but would appreciate your thoughts!

Thanks for reading...
Connie
