Noddie -- I have been progressively stepping up through each upgrade since version 2 as a beta tester. Speaking from the move from 3 to 4, all my font usr files have remained constant and have not be overwritten. I do remember the problems you had in the last go round, so this may be no guarantee. On the other hand, if you are getting the deluxe, you may not care -- there are wonderful new screen customization features -- user-defined colour schemes (as many as you want to create and you can trade them with other users) that can be switched back and forth at a click and with them definable font schemes.
