Hi Jim, > Jayne, did you use all those operating systems on the same computer at one > time or another?
I just upgraded as they were relseased on the desktop. I do not like XP at all. Much prefer Win98 but this laptop I'm using came with ME. I'm thinking of reformatting and installing Win98 once I find time to do a proper back up of all my files and not just the few that I backup each day. > If all programs are freezing up, you might make sure you > have the latest video drivers for your computer. 98 froze all the time for > me and that was the fix. Actually, I found 98 froze less for me but then that was on the desktop and I haven't used 98 on this laptop yet. I shall certainly make sure that I have the latest video drivers once I revert back though. Thanks for the tip. Take care Jayne > > Freezing up for me is a Windows problem.
