If one orders (Deluxe-Boxed) Legacy 4, a manual and CD is included, but costs $10 more than the downloadable deluxe 4 version. I suggested $7.50-$10 for a downloadable PDF manual. $10.00 being the difference in cost between the boxed and downloadable software. The $7.50 was an idea, since no CD is included and there is no printing cost for Millennia - the user must bear the cost of printing out the pdf file if a printout is desired. However, the user can also select printing for only a page or pages that are desired in hard copy.
If the pdf manual has (hopefully) bookmarks and hyperlinks, then the user can easily find topics on screen. I don't disagree with Rick's suggestion that a manual should be a standard part of the deluxe package, but I wouldn't want to lose the option of purchasing and downloading (unlocking) the Deluxe Legacy program as soon as the purchase is approved. I also believe that many long-time users of Legacy don't necessarily need/want the manual. Legacy's very detailed help section and intuitive interface are often more than enough, but there are always those who are most comfortable contemplating the manual from a prone position ;-).
