As I said to June and Ruth, this may dependent on your configuration of ZoneAlarm. The default option is that new programs "ask permission", there is also an option that new programs are always "denied" acccess. It could be that that's the case for people who have trouble updating. Shutting down ZoneAlarm is not always an option because (at least in the Pro version) there is a service called "TrueVector" which stays active after shutting down the program. This service denies unknown programs (without any warning I suppose) to access the Internet. Gr.
