Anne, All three of the software packages I use (Legacy, TMG and Generations) calculate cousins in the ascendancy and descendancy. My brother-in-law (grin) is my 10th cousin. His mother is my 9C1R in the ascendancy. My nephew is also my 10C1R in the descendancy.
Yes, you are correct. This system does simplify tracking relationships. What I failed to mention in my first posting is why I want to print such a report. For each person in my database withwhom I share multiple relationships, I want to create an event noting the multiple relationships and the common ancestor. Having such information will be quite helpful.
