Thank you very much for your response. Perhaps this was just one of those
little gremlins that appear and disappear as promptly never again to
return/occur.  I have a Dell, 40 gig, hard drive, 1.6 mhz, 256 ram.  Nothing
much else on the system and as far as family files not a fraction of what
you describe on yours. System is quick to respond and have no problems in
any other applications.

Do have another question for you though. I started on this system with
Version 4 Deluxe and each and every time I tried to run the Descendant
Narrative Report it would lock on Page 24 of a 350+ page report under
preview. The same file on my old computer Version 3 Deluxe ran fine. I
can't tell you what I went through on this, it would take too long. But
after uninstalling Legacy I ended back on Version 4 Standard - by accident
and the report ran fine. When I realized that I hadn't unlocked I did so
and report locked on page 24. Called tech support and asked how to relock
was advised. Relocked and report ran fine. I tested this a number of times
and each time same results.
By the way when I say report locked I also mean my system locked and on
several occasions came right down but most of the time I would get back to
my main Windows screen and a report would then generate. Generated probably
close to 40 reports maybe more. I have sent the file to Legacy people as
requested and asked to be advised. I haven't heard anything yet and have
another family member who hasn't unlocked Version 4 yet either. Both of us
have paid for Version 4 and are wondering how long this should take.

Again with thanks
Mary Lorraine.
