Hi Lyall You could try the following: Close any open Family File, run File | File Maintenance | Check/Repair; select the offending Family file. When this doesn't work maybe 'Compact Family File' under 'File Maintenance' will do the trick.
Or maybe this: Close any open Family File, run File | Import From | Legacy File ... ; select the offending file, you are prompted for a name for the new family file. As a last resort, you could try opening the file in Access, see if that rebuilds your family file correctly.
