To Sherry - I did as you suggested and now and forever more may there be nothing posted to the Legacy User Group except Plain Text.
Thanks for the info. Too bad those simple instructions haven't been posted much earlier in the HTML versus Plain Text dialog. Those of us who use e-mail HTML pay little or no attention to anything dealing with Plain Text. As I have already stated - in all of the years I have been using e-mail since HTML became available, except for one individual with whom I briefly corresponded in Holland, I have never had a complaint about HTML. For that one individual I eventually discovered the "plain text option" but only selected it from the Format option prior to sending the message. Would have saved a couple of clicks had I known about your procedure for making Plain Text a permanent fixture for a unique address. As they say - too soon old - too late smart! I'll just make a prediction that there are others like myself who paid no attention to the permanent setting of the plain text option for a given address. I suspect that you assisted many people. Now if this doesn't come through as Plain Text, ya all let me know, because it is sent with the plain text option checked for the Legacy User Group address. I subscribe to the List for sending a message, wait a day or two for a response and then unsubscribe. While were on that subject - why doesn't legacy give us the option to subscribe for posting messages but give us an option not to receive the hundreds of messages that can be received daily or every couple of days. I was getting overwhelmed with User group e-mail. so much so that at times there were up to 300 messages waiting when I went on line. I reached the point where I merely deleted them all without reading being as how I was not looking for a response to a posting - and unsubscribe.
