I had hoped my comment about washing the keyboard with soap would defuse a sensitive issue - I guess I underrated the volatility of the group.
What is a tester? Start by looking in the mirror. Then you need to learn a lot more about computers and programs, you need to sacrifice a lot of your personal time, you need to predict how every novice is going to abuse a program and you need to have served a hitch in the Navy to learn the proper expletives. Now add the patience of Job, the skin of a 'gator and say goodbye to your spouse. Automakers charge more than $40,000 for an imperfect car which passed the testers. For $19.95 you shouldn't, in my opinion, expect personal maid service. But Legacy, FO and a few others come close. Now let me get my tongue removed from my cheek and say, if you want a perfect program, write it! Or, better yet, become a tester so all of us can benefit from perfection. BTW, I'm not a tester - it's much easier to whine. Now back to our regularly scheduled program.....
