Hi Linda, Glad to see you have chosen Legacy. It's the best! Here's how I would do this: Do a Detailed Search. Select-Search-Find-Detailed Search First Detailed Search Look for Whom Where to look How to look What to look for Individual Given names Contains Hannah AND Marriage Marriage date before 2002 Select Create list. Tag Everyone in the search list. Select Options - Advanced Tagging - Everyone in Search list. Be sure to first untag all others using the tag you have selected. Let's say you select Tag 1. Next do a Second Detailed Search Look for Whom Where to look How to look What to look for Individual Given names Contains Hannah AND Marriage Marriage date Equal to [BLANK] Tag Everyone in the search list, Tag 1. Do not clear tags for this search. Third Detailed Search Look for Whom Where to look How to look What to look for Individual Tag 1 Equal to Tagged The first search will give you a list of persons whose name contains Hannah and have a marriage year entered. The second search will give you a list of persons whose name contains Hannah and have no date entered for the marriage. The third search will give you a list of persons whose name contains Hannah and were married. I hope this helps Lew ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda Kekumu" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, July 16, 2002 6:30 PM Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] New user Search question > Hello, > > I am a new user & have a couple of questions.
