You're related to Uncle Ned, too? Small world.

Yes, there is a way to "privatize" a child's information; I just tried
it. Enclose the child's given name, surname, birth date, birth place,
etc. in double square brackets [[ ]]. This is normally used to
privatize information in Notes such as [[Uncle Ned's breath always stank
of cheap booze, strong garlic and stale cigars]], but it will also work
in the Individual Information screen fields.

When you print your chart or report, be certain that the report option
to show privatized data is unchecked.

Thank you,

Does anyone know how to make one child private? I have an individual who
was
adopted but her mother is still alive. I don't want to publish that
child of
the parent but I don't know how to make that specific child private
other
than to delete the link or making all living people nameless. Thanks

Donna

Subject: [LegacyUG] documenting sources with-in events

There are situations when I would prefer to document the sources within
the
information itself when creating a report.

Example, - George Hunter Taylor, son of Marquis Lafayette Taylor and
Martha
R Williams, was born on 25 Apr 1862 in Prince Edward County, Virginia /
USA
and died on 26 Jun 1922 in Charlotte County, Virginia / USA, at age 60.
(Taylor Talk News letter, Taylor-Rainey Genealogical library, 9501
Thomas
Jefferson Highway, Charlotte Court House, VA. 23923)

The only way that I can find to document the sources in a report is to
document them as footnotes or endnotes. Can anyone tell me where the
settings are to change the source documentation so that it will be
quoted
with- in each event?

Thanks
John D. Taylor III
