You are right, name of farm as given name, and for me the municipals in family 
name.
And as I have four place on the main screen I use the Birth etc. places for the 
information of some picked years.
Mainly for me, 1624 and 1647 tax lists and the today border.

Since the detailed research starts at 1700, end of church books and setlements 
of estates from about 1670 (in my area) this records together with other tax 
lists and the 1663-66 census is the main tools.
