Good Evening All,

Below is my message of a couple of days ago. I had mailed an printed
invoice and check Saturday, Dec. 7th from the San Francisco Bay Area to
purchase the full set of three CDs. Millennia's invoice back to me is
dated Wednesday, Dec. 11th. The package of three CDs arrived today.

The following are my opinions after viewing parts of CDs two and three:

CD2 - 12-Step Checklist -- I was particularly interested in "Clean Up
Master Lists", which I promptly selected from the list that appears
after the CD auto-starts. As I have transferred my data to Legacy from
another application I was particularly interested in hints about
converting data in the location master list (from addresses, city,
county, state, country to Legacy's city, county, state, country format)
or the structure of information recorded in sources between the two
genealogical applications. I soon learned what the video described was
how to combine duplicate locations (multiple spellings, partial location
lists, etc), not the level of "clean up" I was hoping to learn about.
However, the level of information provided was appropriate for the type
of clean up envisioned as general clean up when different methods of
data entry are used over a period of time, and could be easily applied
to a similar level of "clean up" in different master lists.

CD3 - Ultimate Guide To Sources -- I viewed two video clips before
writing this email - Introduction (#1) and The Genealogical Proof (#8).
The graphics were static images in the first and part of the second. I
found no recording of actions from Legacy as shown in CD2. I timed The
Genealogical Proof at about 3 minutes and 15 seconds. This video did
show the Report notes, and scrolled through the contents, while
describing what might be accomplished in the way of recording research
notes.

HINT to Millennia -- I suppose the Report notes dialog is all "well and
good", however did you ever see the Proof window from Ultimate Family
Tree? Now, THAT is an analysis dialog, with note capabilities!

In summation, the CDs will provide quick information in short bursts. I
expect to find useful information on CD3 and probably even some on CD2.
However for more in depth information I believe I prefer the video tapes
to the CDs.

Best,

     Denise L. Moss-Fritch
