Bill,
In recognition that the information that we record will be useful to future
researchers, I have recorded the fact that several of my family members had
their ashes scattered at sites that were important to them.  This does two
things.  I connects the individual to a place of significance and it tells a
future researcher that they are not in a cemetery so they can not look for
the cemetery information.  [Many researchers look for the tombstones of
ancestors, for information, and for a way to connect with and honor them.]
