To all whom have come here before me.
Adding "Never Married" to the list of options under Ending status of
Marriage would give you the option to indicate the biological parents
weren't married.

The issue of legal and biological is somewhat the bases of a genealogical
study. Unless otherwise noted the parents of children found in a genealogy
are usually considered to be the biological parents. It is my understanding
that one should always be listed with the biolobical parent as that is the
direct lineage. Lineage societies are based on the blood lineage and this
seems to be the teaching of genealogists. It is the way I teach. Then
under the adopted or legal couple or parents make notes necessary to provide
the understanding needed for unknowning readers. At times I include the
same note of explanation under both sets of parents to be sure the reader
sees it.

Some adopted children do elect to trace the families of their adopted or
legal parents, but in most cases indicate such. Therefor adding a special
custom catagory for Biological parents may (should) not be necessary.

As for the a way to indicate an unadopted child raised by adults that are
considered her/his legal parents, try using the term guardian. According to
Black's Law Dicitonary: " one who legally has the care and management of the
person, or the estate, or both, of a child during its minority." Reeve,
Dom.Rel. 311 is quoted on page 834 of my4th edition.
Hope this helps
