I have got around this problem by putting [[nk]] after the first name like so Garry John [[nk]] JONES and when I do a report for my info this show up as Garry John having no kids. For other people the report is done to exclude the exclusion brackets. I realise this looks a bit off but it does the job by letting me know there are no kids to look for this couple..
