Ben,
True footnotes and not just, as you say, formated text for end notes is
something I have asked for since I first started using Legacy about 3 years
ago. That and the ability to enter embedded citations in Note and Memo
fields. Legacy is a great program in many ways but this problem has always
been a major flaw to my way of thinking.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Wish list, endnotes/footnotes as real endnotes/footnotes
in RTF output

I have just looked at some of the stuff on the Genbox site, and was =
largely not overwhelmed (Legacy still looks like the best data input system
for genealogical data, although one really has to work with a program for a
= long while to be sure). But there was one really standout feature, which
was that the endnotes in their RTF file are really endnotes, recognized as =
such. In Legacy reports, they are just formated text, which is a serious =
downer for anyone assembling descendant reports into a book. Anyone else
feel = this way? =20

BTW, since the competition seems to be able to generate real endnotes =
(which Word will convert to footnotes, which I prefer), I assume it is a
really minor tweek in the output routines for the rtf files.

Ben
