For two ancestors as children in the same family, I have
one with a "+", one with "+*" in the P (for preferred, I
assume) column when I "view children list".  (Both show as
boldface in the child list at the bottom of the family -
direct-line).  If this isn't showing more than one
"preferred", I don't know what it *could* be showing.  True,
only one has a "*", but there's something in the preferred
column for the other.
