Well, I must admit I have no idea what the extension .rfo is......have never seen before and as far as.I can determine there is no such thing. I also see no such option in Legacy. A text file should be saved with a .txt extension...where is .rfo coming from? Perhaps you might give us some additional info as to exactly how you find and use "RFO"?? Any chance that saving to PDF is being used?


Tom, when I go to the Report menu and click on Descendent chart, I get a dialog box which gives me the choice of saving to Screen/printer or to Text file or to HTML file. If I select either "text" or "HTML" and then click on "Save," the resultant file is saved in the RFO format.

As Jim Winfrey pointed out just a few minutes ago, the trick is *not* to click on "save" at that point, but to click on "Create." This initiates a process that ends in a text file which can be pasted into an email or attached, as one wishes.
