Donna,

If you need to open a recent Legacy Family File in an earlier build, you'll
need to create a gedcom and then import that gedcom into the previous build.
Files created in *older* builds of Legacy will always open up in newer
builds.

It's always recommended to make backups before updating or making any major
changes to your file.
