I tried this and lost my alt birth notes. I thought it was a one time thing.
I then tried another but put a copy of the event notes into the source
detail. Good thing as the event notes again disappeared when swapping the
birth information.

Highlight the Alt birth event, then click on Options and "Swap with
birth information".  Doesn't Legacy make things easy?   :-)
